Identity Crisis
Today's Herald ran a 'guy in the street' spot with John from Greenland who, when asked, "... what's the most important issue facing Portsmouth?", talks about Historical preservation.
What's not to like about this?
And the Point is... ?
Residents of the boroughs are searching for a sense of place and see our small City as their own.

Candidates' Night
The Citizens for Voter Education held a Candidates' Night Forum on Wednesday in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
I got the impression that it went pretty well for all the Candidates.
I am certain that it will be useful for all interested voters to watch.
It will be re-broadcast at 7:00 pm on the next two Saturdays.
In the introduction round I appear last (50 minutes in) and having sat through all of the others yada yada I had become a little edgy ... I have been told that I gave a 'Classic Dave' performance, one comment was, "Anyone with a pulse will vote for that guy".
To watch it on your computer click on the link http://www.cityofportsmouth.com/webcast/index.htm

Herald Candidate Profile
I had an interview session with Young Adam Leech from the Portsmouth Herald the other day ... I have been on pins & needles since then. Well, the piece came out in the paper today.
The Staff and many Supporters tell me it's just terrific.
I can breathe again! Why was I worried?
Tell me what you think ...

Campaign Contributions
Contributions ... I'm happy to get them.
With your support I can cover some of the cost for advertising.
Checks should be made out to daveadamsforcitycouncil.
Remember ... The City of Portsmouth requires reporting of Campaign Contributions of $100 or more. That seems fine to me. Contributions of $99 are more than welcome. Thanks to everyone who has expressed their support.

Signs
Campaign Signs ... I hate them too.I know that they are an important tool to get the voters attention.
I think that there should be a time limit on them.
To that end, I am going to have signs out for just one month.
Signs will be available for posting on private property on October 6th, so call or send an e-mail to show your support for
David Adams for City Council.
